A wise and forgiving communist leader decides to send a young worker, Karl Renn, as an international delegate to the Soviet Union after the worker had deserted a picket-line and had expressed doubts about the methods of class struggle in in his own country.

Irina – the best shock worker in a provincial children’s factory – develops a relationship with the newly arrived and charming physical culture instructor named Grisha. Soon we learn that Irina is pregnant. Disappointed and angry on hearing her news, Grisha asks her about what will now happen to all their dreams.
Having once again successfully performed at the competition, five paratroopers, seeing off one of their friends to the airport, witnessed the collective beating of the boy. Without hesitation, the athletes rushed to help, and later learned that a man had died in a fight, while one of the athletes fell under suspicion. The investigator even figured out his first conviction. Only a few days later the mistake became obvious and the true killer was found, but for now the friends tried to answer the question themselves: who is to blame and is it to blame?
