Ivana wants to become an actress. She recently fled from Ukraine to Germany, sleeps on a different couch every night, and calls her mother who is in the air raid shelter, while during the day she has to perform her most natural smile for the entrance exam at the acting school.
The film takes the absurd setting of a family celebration to tell about a potentially crucial step in coping with a social crisis that, however, does not feel quite right.
