Karthik, a carefree management graduate, abstains from taking up a job. One day, he, along with his close friends, decides to conduct a straw poll by dating three women and then choosing the best one.
Prabhakaran travels all the way from Tamil Nadu to Kolkata for a purpose. He takes up a job in a college and meets Aishwarya. He also comes across Paro in Kolkata and they end up falling head over heels in love with each other. Meanwhile, there is a group in the look out for Prabhakaran at the behest of Eswara Pandian and his son. The ensuing sequence of events results in Prabhakaran revealing his true face through a flashback and there begin the twists and turns, which also unravels a sibling story with underworld background.
Ganesh comes to Chennai to pursue his studies. A group of goons are on his pursuit. A kind hearted Ganesh is eventually forced to go back to his old ways to fight them and restore order.
