A story about friendship and sticking together through tough times. The movie shows how two young girls and their families cope with their differences, how they are brought together and torn apart and how they are changed by the injury of a racing pigeon. But when the girls take it upon themselves to heal the pigeon, its recovery can bring them all hope.
Line married early to a crazy but lovely painter, who unfortunately one day became so crazy that he had to be hospitalized. For her, there was only one thing to do: refuse to let it get her down, quickly find a job—as a cashier at the local supermarket—set up a new home for her four children, and make it all work. But what about her dreams and love—and making ends meet...
Between her four children, her husband, her job at the hardware store, and the creditors on her back, Hélène leads a life that dangerously resembles a makeshift camp in a constant state of emergency. She muddles through as best she can.
