A story of two arctic aviation pilots in the Soviet post-war times. The younger one is a son of a man repressed and killed by the Stalin regime, who also was a friend of the captain.
The boy Fedya met mysterious The Wall Painter, who gave him his magic brush, with which anybody could do good deeds. But only for a half of hour. The agents of the evil king - The Gray and Abricadabr - hunt for boy. They want to destroy the magic brush and cancel all good deeds in the world
The film tells about the pioneer Andrew and his friend. They imitate the accident in front of foreign tourists on the water. The young correspondent Egor noticed this, and as a result, the portraits of the pioneer hang wherever possible, he receives an invitation to the radio, people shot a movie about him. And now, when friends wanted to retreat, they began to realize that it would not be as easy as it seems...
