When the townspeople of a small Mexican village start disappearing, the locals point the suspicion at two young visitors. The only solution is for the two to unearth the legend of a madman in this supernatural thriller.
In an attempt to solve their marriage problems, Eric and Mari take a trip to the Mexican southeast, but she disappears under mysterious circumstances. On his way back to Mexico City, Eric meets Narciso, a mysterious man, and gives him a ride. Eric describes a series of events which finally lead him to a revelation about the time he shared with Mari.
After losing her husband to cancer and amassing an ungodly amount of medical debt, Molly is forced to raise her son in her car and attempt to find a way out of homelessness all while never letting her son realize the severity of their circumstances.
