A day in the life of Ako, a 16-year-old Japanese girl, and her friends and co-workers. An alarm clock wakes her in a dorm; she gets ready for work and travels to a large bakery. We see her with friends, chatting and laughing, as well as working. They go out, seven of them jammed in an old Pontiac: bowling, then to an amusement park, then driving around. Car trouble may put her at risk. Is she going to be okay?
The group led by Teruko was the most famous in the port city of Yokohama. One day, however, a group claiming the same name as Teruko and her group appeared and began extorting them. The group was led by Rosa, who had come from Hayama. Teruko and the others were taken in by Detective Jitsusei on suspicion of extortion, and were even doused with oil. What saved the day was a witness, a runaway daughter named Toshie. Toshie is a half-sister.
