Sam is a 20 year old economy student, who one day decides to leave school and move back to his hometown in the north of Sweden. His best friends, Alex and Krister, tries to stop him, but Sam is unstoppable, since he is on a mission to find the meaning of life.
Erik and Jocke thinks life has passed them by. The future looks uncertain when they aimlessly walking around town and talking. Jocke gets the idea that a dice should determine their life choices, just as in Rhinehart's book The Dice Man.
