In 1977, the military government kidnapped Juan Herman in Bariloche. In 1985, Carlos Echeverría shot “Juan As If Nothing Had Happened”, a film that investigated the disappearance. Horacio – Juan’s brother – worked on the film but his testimony wasn’t part of it. 30 years later, I travelled to meet him.
The tale of a family during the 20 th century, built from archive footage. Through an imaginary dialogue between two characters a plot begins to weave that finally reveals who they are—a father and a daughter, and the peculiar history that binds them.
In Camouflage, writer Félix Bruzzone embodies a runner who has an obsession with Campo de Mayo, the biggest military unit in Argentina. It is also the place where his mother disappeared in 1976 and the main clandestine center of detention, torture and extermination during the last dictatorship. The film will follow Félix as he finds characters that allow him to enter and explore this place so loaded with history.
