The Prison Project is a short black-and-white documentary about the work of the Belgian photographer Sébastien van Malleghem in various prisons in Belgium. For years he portrayed prisoners without judging or judging them on what they did to get here.
The 34-year old Marwan Magroun, a photographer with Tunisian roots, largely grew up without his father. In his personal search for fatherhood he takes viewers from Tunesia's northeastern coast to the streets of Rotterdam. His interviews with friends create a new impression of young and committed bi-cultural fathers.
With the short film Home Of The Brave, HipHopHuis pays tribute to Rotterdam hip-hop culture. Featuring a poetry piece by Emmy Award winning Black Ice, the viewer is taken on a whirlwind journey through this culture.
