The Enchanted Bamboo 2011

Bamboo is a sacred tree for Malaysian people who reside in Javi, Thailand. According to their traditions, people use this tree to make water holy. Out of belief in its magic power, they put pieces of bamboo in their mouth to make a smooth voice, or on other occasions, they try hard to persuade the spirits to be on their side and bless them.

The Enchanted Bamboo or the Magical Universe of the Jawi of Southern Thailand N/A

The Jawi are the descendants of the former Malay sultanate of Patani, annexed in 1909 by Siam (became Thailand). Since then, the situation has been generating a bloody endemic guerrilla in these provinces of Southern Thailand. The memory of the famous past hindouist kingdom of Langkasuka, predecessor of Patani, is still living among the Jawi, in the guise of their legendary and divine White Elephant with Black Tusks.
