A 1950s housewife goes to Rio de Janeiro to meet up with her husband, only to learn he's deserted her, but decides to stay and open a bossa nova club.
Mika is a stripper trying to rebuild her life after a troubled and mysterious past. She goes to work in the bustling Rua Augusta, in São Paulo, where she is a dancer at Boate Love and has fun at night club Hell. On one of these nights, the young woman's fate intersects with that of a powerful businessman's son, which changes her life forever.
Christian and Renato are identical twins who have opposite lives: Christian grew up in an orphanage and is underemployed, struggling to survive. Renato was adopted by a rich family and had everything that money can buy. When they meet again as adults, a tragedy happens: Renato is murdered and identified as Christian who, in turn, takes the place of his brother. However, to this end, he must leave behind his identity and his great love.
