A retired estate manager and his wife have grown old together on their small farm in Kerala. Content with their simple life, they resist the efforts of their grown up children to move them to their urban homes.
The story proceeds in flashbacks as the protagonist, Dr. Gopi, who has had a nervous breakdown, relives his past under psychiatric probing.
Kaveri is a 1986 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Rajeevnath. The film stars Mohanlal, Mammootty, Adoor Bhasi and Nedumudi Venu in lead roles. The film had musical score by V. Dakshinamoorthy and Ilayaraja.
