Gleb is 35 years old and an example of a successful man: he has a beautiful wife, his own business, and a new country house to dream about. But as he doesn’t find the courage to sort things out like a man with his drunken neighbor who hit his wife, his perfect life changes drastically.
March 2022. The Somalia battalion, as part of the main forces, was sent to storm fortified Mariupol in order to ensure the possibility of an offensive by the Russian Armed Forces. On the outskirts of the city, no one yet knows the scale of the disaster that will unfold in the coming weeks and what trials soldiers and civilians will have to go through.
The film’s action happens in the Donbass in our days. The protagonist is the Slovak Mira, who leaves his boring life of an émigré in England to go to the Luhansk People’s Republic. He sees his mission in the restoration of symbols of the Soviet empire: the monuments to Lenin, to miners, to workers...
