The heroic romance of the profession is in the story about the life of test pilot Yuri Garnaev, who tragically died with his crew while extinguishing forest fires in France in 1967.
The film observes and records the people travelling, adding to this very simple but effective visual set a pure (and magic) pot pourri of designed and recorded voices and sounds. Hereby not only the people become human beings alive, but also the city awakens.
The war prevented Marina Kupriyanova from realizing her dream and becoming an actress. She works as a waitress in the youth cafe "Rovesnik" and remembers the days of the heroic defense of Leningrad, of which she was a participant.
