Undefeated junior welterweight king Josh Taylor defends his WBO and Ring Magazine titles against former lightweight kingpin Teofimo Lopez at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Janelson Figueroa Bocachica competes in the headline bout against 2016 Olympian Alberto Palmetta. Both boxers are looking to bounce back from recent defeats. Bocachica dropped an eight-round decision defeat to Roiman Villa last year, before Jamal James handed Palmetta a 10-round loss on points in February. Victory here, though, will see either Bocachica or Palmetta get their career back on track with a return to winning ways and a world ranking boost in the lively welterweight division.
