A decadent upper class family of mother and three grown-up children who lives in one of the richest neighborhoods of Sao Paulo, Brazil, is faced with the past as the long estranged father, who supposedly was the cause of the family's ruin, returns and accommodates himself in the house as if nothing had changed.
