Marli Renfro (born April 3, 1938 in Los Angeles, California) is an American former showgirl, model, Playboy cover girl and actress. She was the body double for Janet Leigh in the shower scene of the 1960 film Psycho.
The most famous murder scene in movie history comprises 78 camera settings and 52 cuts: the shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. 78/52 tells the story of the man behind the curtain and his greatest obsession.
Compiling two existing projects—an unreleased Western-themed nudie cutie directed by Schafer called 'The Wide Open Spaces' and a short film by Coppola called 'The Peeper'—two unlikely men rendezvous on the Sunset Strip: unkempt desert miner Samuel Hill and John Birch Society dandy Benjamin Jabowski. Intent on some sort of mayhem, the duo enter the Herald Club before the burlesque starts, and they wire something to the electrical box, set to blow at midnight.
