Laurent, a seemingly normal young man, is looking to join a witches’ sect that resides in a forest near his house. The only thing is Laurent’s wife Aline also needs to join the sect in order to complete his initiation. Aline is understandably reluctant, so the sect’s heads design a series of events designed to break her down.
Axel, the magician, raises a boy into adulthood. When Axel dies, it's the young man - son of a murderer, and well tutored by a magician - to keep on the tradition of guarding the Daughter of the Golem.
Before the flood, a foreigner arrives in a city where the inhabitants indulge in drink, lust, looting and torture. Bewitched by a magician, he looks in vain for an ideal girl before raising the wrath of the gods.
