A short documentary on the production of rayon, shot in Torviscosa (Italy). It portrays the production of this new synthetic fabric in the small town of Torviscosa, entirely built following strict fascist canons.
In the late 1970s and early 80s, assassinations in Sicily get the attention of Communist deputy, Pio La Torre, who appeals to General Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa to become prefect in Palermo and take on the Mafia. Dalla Chiesa approaches the job with the same focus and methods he used in hunting down the Red Brigade.
We follow the Journal reporter Paulo whose close friend mysteriously been taken out of the way and it's now up to Paulo to figure out who the culprits are. The film is set in a drug-scented and "swinging" Los Angeles, where orgies and violence seem to be commonplace, and it soon appears that Paulo is on someone's hit list.
