Before It's Gone is a dramatic and dark-humored story about Almeida, a regular 30 year old man who discovers he's got only one week left to live. In this week, he has to make arrangements for his own death, such as inviting relatives and friends, getting his own death certificate and meeting with his ex-girlfriend.
A mixture of corporate film, archive footage, documentary and making of, the film is an attempt of the scientists from the 'Brazilian Institute of Alternative and Secondary Importance Research' to fight the lack of funding, the closure of the institute and to keep their dreams alive.
On a stormy night, Berenice decides to break free from the abusive relationship in which she lives with Leonor. And they need to face the end before dawn.
