Mula lives with her husband, sick mother and daughter Nina in a countryside house. At the weekend before Nina’s First Holy Communion, her brother with his family come for a visit together with Kaja – Mula’s younger sister, who disappeared suddenly 6 years earlier. Kaja is Nina’s biological mother. Mula is afraid that unstable Kaja might want to take her daughter away.
Mohammed, a young Palestinian, is desperately looking for a taxi to take him through an Israeli checkpoint. The driver, Farouk, discovers that Mohammed has already failed to cross the checkpoint. Trouble begins.
An unemployed actor, suffering from a mental block, is offered to play a tragicomic part in his own life. In return for a flat, he is meant to pick up a girl and then “transfer” her to his employer.
