In the summer of 2021, a research group scouting for viable sites for development arrives at Armenaki Island, where people live with their own laws and their own moral values, having found happiness in a completely different way of life.
Yannis (15) and his mother are moving in at her boyfriend’s apartment. Yannis starts hanging out with Olga (40), a socially secluded hard rock woman who lives in the basement of his apartment building. Simultaneously, he associates with a group of teenagers, the leader of which bullies Olga whenever he sees her.
On a crowded beach in Greece, during the summer, the bodies of two refugee women wash ashore. Elli, a young woman with her dog, witnesses the harsh reality and decides not to look away.
