Tiger Cubs, alternatively titled Special Duties Unit, is a Hong Kong police procedural television series produced by Lam Chi-wah and TVB. It premiered on Sunday, 24 June 2012 on Jade and HD Jade, and was the first TVB drama to broadcast in the Sunday night time slot since 1995's File of Justice. Sung Shao Chong (Billy Chong) traverses the Arizona desert, helping those in need on the way to meet his old friend Kum (Lam Hak-Ming) in a small western town. Once there, he runs into a group of men who terrorize the town and extort the local businesses. Meanwhile, a trio of three bank robbers need a place to hide until the heat dies down from a recent heist. They pick the home of a black farming family and subsequently kill them, leaving only the severly injured eldest son Tommy (Carl Scott) to escape. Tommy is found by Chong and Kum and is brought to the home of Doctor Ko (Leung Siu-Chung), who heals his injuries. Eventually Tommy learns kung fu from Ko, and sets out for payback. Luckily for Tommy, Chong is also bent on revenge after the bandits hire the local troublemakers and some Japanese samurai to kill him.

Yamada, who is ugly and has no friends, goes out on the street and talks to girls. There is only one criterion. The only criteria is that the girl has to look good enough to complement him. Finally, Yamada finds a fat girl and takes her to Momotani's flat. But Momotani is a fat lover. The protagonist, who relies on fortune-telling in order to become beautiful and is bossy with the same sex whom she identifies as less than her, confronts the audience with "the ugly part of you", in the form of a laugh, saying "ugly people are such creatures".
