Barren Land is the story of three friends. All three trapped between the abandonment of the institutions, the violent and unstoppable rise of the narco in the province and the dangerous increase of social discontent. Three friends trapped in a powder keg that will test their friendship.
In a dystopian world where mutants—individuals with the ability to transform into animals—are confined to the island city of Arktus, two young mutants, Liora and Kian, enroll in the Academy to gain control over their mutation. Their goal: to secure passage to the human cities beyond Arktus's walls. As a friendship develops between the two, they discover the dark truth behind the Academy. They must now fight against the oppressive regime to reclaim their freedom.
