Ioka, the reigning WBO super-flyweight champ, will square off with the WBA “regular” champion, Joshua Franco, on this year’s big fight finale. This fight, between a formidable champion in Ioka, who has been the super-fly guy since June of 2019, against a significantly younger bandit from San Antonio, who has been WBA champ at regular status for two-and-a-half years, should be an action affair.

LIFETIME BOXING FIGHTS 27 took place on May 11, 2025, at Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan, promoted by Lifetime Boxing. The main event features WBA Super Flyweight Champion Fernando Martinez defending his title against four-division world champion Kazuto Ioka in a 12-round bout. The co-main event pits Hayato Tsutsumi against Jaime Arboleda in a 10-round lightweight clash. Additional bouts include Daiya Kira vs. Jackson Zapata in flyweight and Yuya Tanaka vs. an opponent to be announced in bantamweight.
