Sylvia has turned a blind eye for too long to husband Eddie's flourishing drug business. When his dealing takes a (deadly) turn for the worse, however, her need to protect the lives and futures of her young children compel her to flee. But Eddie will stop at nothing to keep his wife inside the ‘family'.
Young Dutch dropout, Berry, falls in love with slightly older nightclub dancer and ex-nude model Thera and gives up his social live with his dodgy comrades and fine family to make a three-stop 'world tour' together. Suddenly Thera ODs terribly, leaving Berry alone with his obsessive but unanswered love which drives him crazy.
Teacher Jochem sticks to the plan he has drawn up for the week-long study trip - in teams, the students will complete various assignments, the highlight of which will be a survival drop at the end of the week. Jochem tries to motivate the students, but has a hard time of it. Their tangled web of contradictory interests is not good for harmonious cooperation. Jochem has been over-optimistic in this respect and very soon the students' own agendas are revealed.
