A filmmaker joins a group of expert kayakers on a kayaking trip in the ice filled fiords of East Greenland. The group visit a remote inuit village, giving an insight into the habits of people in a magnificent country where, fonunately, the pace and stress of the Western world is still absent.

The Arctic Fox in Iceland 1988

The arctic fox is of a circumpolar species, but in Iceland the conditions are different from most of the other habitats of the species, due to the absence of lemmings. This film deals with research done on the ecology and behavior of arctic foxes in a remote coastal region of North Western Iceland. The work of a scientist, studying the arctic fox under harsh conditions during both winter and summer, is observed, as well as the lives of the arctic foxes in this special environment.

The dramatic relationship between the three main characters ultimately leads to a fatal web of events where a love affair turns into a nightmare of brutality and destruction.

The Big one 2011

Disa and Tommy are board by catching small fishes by the pier. They get a hold of a boat and head out to sea to catch a big one. But the fight with the big one turns out to be more than they can handle and soon they find themselves stranded on a reef. They on one reef and their boat on an other. The tie starts coming in and the fight with the big one is not over.

What urges a person like Roman Abramovich to be a governor at world’s end and even put a lot of effort and money into renovating and envigorating the small community of Chukotka? What do the residents in Chukotka feel for Abramovich? How is global warming affecting Chukotka? These are some of the questions that four Icelanders, headed by geophysicist and author Ari Trausti Guðmundsson, tried to find answers for among the people; both indigenous people and immigrants, from reindeer hearders and youth to scientists and town mayors.
