A video-registration of the revue/cabaret show 'Showponies 2' by the Alex Klaasen Revue. In this sequel to the first Showponies-show, Alex Klaassen explores to what extent he cares about what (the still quite heteronormative) society thinks. Klaassen considers coming out for a second time, because he feels like he has ended up in a second closet after his first coming out.
'Master Stu' is a Surinamese folk singer living in the Netherlands. His wife Patrice acts as his songwriter and manager. Since the Corona measures, streets are empty and all of his gigs have been cancelled. Stu and Patrice come up with an alternative: free 'pavement parties' for the isolated elderly. Meanwhile, Stu's new music video needs to be recorded under social distancing: "One and a half meter, is the new normal".
That night, Jesper and Rein wanted to go to Tessa's party. They have just played sports and are exhausted, Rein has been hit especially hard (he thinks), and therefore has an incredible appetite for Peking Duck from his favourite Chinese restaurant. Jesper doubts as he is a bit short on cash (as he has been for decades). This exposes a skewed dynamic in their friendship.
