Spooky Kitaro: The Great Sea Beast 1996 (5.7)

Kitaro is a yōkai boy born in a cemetery and, aside from his mostly decayed father, the last living member of the Ghost Tribe (幽霊族 yūrei zoku?). He is missing his left eye, but his hair usually covers the empty socket. He fights for peace between humans and yōkai, which generally involves protecting the former from the wiles of the latter.

Manjushaka: Lycoris Radiata 1984

When a boy wakes up, his memory is lost and the town is empty. Suddenly, a girl appears selling manjushage flowers, saying "Don't you want flowers? The girl, who walks with a basket of red flowers on her head, is actually not from this world. The film is a very honest look at the question of what true beauty is. The girl's voice repeating, "If it's a red flower, it's manjushage" is impressive.
