A psychological drama about the consequences of a 15 year old girl's gang rape.
Shino Sakuragi is an OL. She attends a wine party recommended by her boss, even though she isn't comfortable at such a fancy get together. There, Sakuragi meets Kazushi Oda. He is knowledgeable about wine and he doesn't show off his success as a businessman. She becomes attracted to him, but Oda gets arrested for accounting fraud later. Sakuragi is confused by the situation, but she keeps attending the wine parties and becomes hooked on wine.
The University of Tokyo is the most prestigious national and public university in Japan. A charismatic teacher who suffers cancer meets the poor-but-clever girl and he teaches how to overcome the barrier of the entrance examination of the most difficult top-notch university in Japan, as well as how to change a life. (Not to be confused with the 2016 Japanese remake by the same name of "Cinderella Formula")

From the introductory narration to the title backdrop where Sayuri Yoshinaga sings, "A cute bud becomes a flower, and even after the flower falls, the truth remains. This is the intro to the song where the three completely different moods are perfectly connected. The girl buries a sunflower seed and a doll called "my baby" together in the ground and takes revenge on the other young man. In spite of this, the screenplay is not at all realistic or tragic, which amplifies the cruelty of the fairy tale. The cruelty of the story is amplified.
