Yan Zilang is an internationally acclaimed conductor working in the United States. After his former teacher inherits a group of problem students, Zilang returns to Hong Kong to assist with training them. Although it won’t be an easy task, Zilang is prepared to do everything he can to help the kids find their voices.
For decades, Kwong Ming Pawn Shop has been renowned for its expertise, with owner Uncle Kin treating orphaned siblings Kwan Ling and Kwan Chun like family. A rift separates them, but years later, as the shop faces financial troubles, the siblings return. Their reappearance brings both challenges and unexpected turns, reshaping their relationships and the shop’s fate.
The film follows different stages in the life of Sofía, a young girl born in Argentina of Chinese descent. From her childhood to her adulthood, she's conflicted by the clash and fusion of both her cultures, all while facing a strenuous relationship with her mother Jia, who places concerns and demands on her.
