Swedish drama series based on Moa Martinson's novel of the same name. When Mia is seven years old, she and her mother move in with a man her mother marries. It is a dream come true, as her mother Hedvig has been supporting herself and her daughter alone as a factory worker in the city, living with relatives. Now they can move from the cramped city to the countryside, to "the house with the white porch," but not everything is idyllic.
