Two men, with vastly different life stories and personalities, embark on a hearse heading to the South of France. During their journey they realize that, however unlikely, they're not so different in the end.
In a moment of anger in a grocery store in Lausanne, a father loses patience and disciplines his disobedient child. A shocked customer immediately intervenes to express her concern. Other customers join the conversation and the discussion soon turns into a debate that gradually gets out of hand.
Refusing to die in the hospital, an old man gets on his scooter and heads to the mountain where, as a child, his grandfather used to take him to look for fossils. Reluctantly, his son sets off in pursuit.
