Beneath the decadence of 1929 Berlin, lies an underworld city of sin. Police investigator Gereon Rath has been transferred from Cologne to the epicenter of political and social changes in the Golden Twenties.
The story revolves around a crew member of a spaceship who is murdered. The remaining crew-mates lock themselves in the cafeteria after the murder to figure out who the murder is. The tension in the room is like crazy as everyone becomes suspicious. Apparently a mysterious virus would turn people into killers.
Kim and Maja, two physiotherapists who are friends, are planning to open a practice together. To finance their dream, they are working part-time at a hostess agency that offers jobs in the restaurant industry.
