Popular telenovela produced in Mexico in 1979, starring Verónica Castro, Rogelio Guerra and Rocío Banquells. Castro also sang the theme Aprendí a Llorar, a song written by Lolita de la Colina. The telenovela was produced by Chilean Valentín Pimstein and Carlos Romero, it was directed by Rafael Banquells. The story was written by Inés Rodena and adapted by Valeria Philips.
Rodolfo wants to marry the aristocrat Adriana who rejects him. Humberto, her brother, kills a man for her. Rodolfo attributes the crime to the gypsy Renzo so that Adriana will gratefully marry him. Renzo is sent to the island of the condemned, where he is left for dead.
Lupita Montero, a young singer , tries to break into the art world which is always hostile and complicated. Skillfully she knows a great entrepreneur of a record company who promises to make her a big star. The image of the young man begins to change, it is very frequent.
