Omanakkuttan is twenty-two years old and too lazy to hold down a job, which angers his father. His life takes a turn when he goes for his friend Sudi's sister's marriage and he marries her.
Ananthakrishnan (Suresh Gopi) is a budding journalist with a Kerala based newspaper. He does a story on the famous dancer Gayathri Devi (Madhavi) which brings him accolades. After a while, Anathakrishnan meets Gayathri Devi by coincidence in a hotel and she tells him about some striking scandals regarding the powerful state home minister Valappad Balakrishnan (NF Varghese). Gayathri Devi is suddenly killed under suspicious circumstances and Ananthapkrishnan is swept into her dangerous world.
Mary, who is from a rich family, elopes with William, a fisherman, as her parents are against their relationship. They try to lead a normal and happy life until her father comes in search of her.
