Lisbon Story is Wim Wenders' homage to Lisbon and films. A sound engineer obtains a mysterious postcard from a friend who at the moment is filming a film in Lisbon. He sets out across Europe to find him and help him.

Documentary that recreates the biography of the Catalan composer and pianist Enrique Granados (1867-1916), his trips to Madrid, Paris and New York, his sensitive nature, the struggle to make his way in life despite the family economic straits and his first successes The story, built from vintage images, is interspersed with versions of the Granados repertoire by interpreters such as Rosa Torres-Pardo, Evgeny Kissin, Cañizares, Arcángel, Rocío Márquez, Carlos Álvarez and Nancy Fabiola Herrera, among others.

Elisabet wakes up one night and isn't sure if it was her own scream that woke her. At the same time Lucia crosses Plaza Tetuan and is hit by a wind that awakens a childhood memory. Both women carry a loss. We don't know how it is to be the person that sits next to us on the metro. Sometimes we still find ourselves reaching out for him or her. Sometimes we get a hold while other times they slip through our fingers. One Thursday, Elisabet and Lucia ride the same metro in the direction of Pobleneu.
