In the middle of La Habana, three friends meet on the rooftop day after day to discuss their dreams and aspirations. Though they lack the proper resources, they decide to start their own business, a decision that pushes them towards maturity, although at an unforeseen cost.
Dani, a young Cuban, lives in Havana with his grandmother Yuya. When his girlfriend becomes pregnant, the young woman's family demands an abortion... because Dani is black.
The script is based on the novel "The Volunteer Teacher" by Laura Olemá. The story takes place in a camp for volunteer teachers who join a campaign to promote literacy. The film focuses on several young people and their constant confrontation with a reality that has little to do with the idealized ideals they aspired to.
