An English company is developing a gold deposit. Its representative, Allan Kane, is trying to hide some of the gold and take it abroad. In pursuit of the golden caravan, an unthinkable deadly battle unfolds.

This story tells how a group of livestock handlers took upon themselves a human and civic duty to undertake a long and extremely difficult journey along the roads of a war that was not yet fully over.
