This short film is a series of vignettes of life in Saint-Henri, a Montreal working-class district, on the first day of school. From dawn to midnight, we take in the neighbourhood’s pulse: a mother fussing over children, a father's enforced idleness, teenage boys clowning, young lovers dallying - the unposed quality of daily life.
Louise is a professional photographer and very successful in her job. But her father who had disappeared for many years resurfaced. He is very sick and would like to see his three daughters again. At the request of her father, Louise hesitates and then slips away. The reappearance of his father poses problems even in her life as a couple.
As the weekend draws near, Chuck and Miller know where they're going - to the beach! That's where the action is - a shindig with the coolest cars, hottest chicks and wildest music. Fraternity guys, sorority girls, nerds, locals - everyone's there for two reasons - to party and score! It's a weekend Check and Miller will never forget... an Ocean Drive Weekend!
