1987, Vienna's Favoriten district, the new home of 12-year-old Vlado. Having grown up with Czech television, he immersed himself in the world of Western films, devouring one VHS tape after another. After being diagnosed with cancer, Vlado made his first short film.
At 11 weeks pregnant Gloria suffers a miscarriage. Soon she feels the pressure to move on as if nothing has happened. When she is denied seeing herself as a mother she finds the courage to step up for herself and her unborn baby.
