Melanie and Walter seem to be happily married but then strange incidents begin to occur. Their house is broken into but nothing is missing. Someone is observing them and Walter is even pursued and harassed by a young man. The situation escalates when they find out that the daughter of their former housekeeper has died.
Without a permanent home and the security of a social network, a 16-year-old girl comes to a city to find a friend and perhaps even a companion. On her wanderings through the city, she meets him in the middle of a crowd. They spend a day together and are separated while stealing from a supermarket. Now the girl is on her own again and is once more confronted with her loneliness.
Polizeiruf 110 is a long-running German language detective television series. The first episode was broadcast 27 June 1971 in the German Democratic Republic, and after the dissolution of Fernsehen der DDR the series was picked up by ARD. It was originally created as a counterpart to the West German series Tatort, and quickly became a public favorite.
