As part of a residency in Antwerp, Belgium, Chantal Peñalosa creates a series of pieces that have as a trigger the book Antwerp by Roberto Bolaño. With this starting point, she builds connections that develop between books, disappearing writers, boat trips and the history of migration in the twentieth century from the port of Antwerp to America.

Piece made on Mexico Avenue, the last street in Tecate, Baja California, which borders the U.S. border. "By climbing on the roof of a house, I matched the height of the border patrol, located on a small hill on the U.S. side, to create a silent dialogue.
