Bahniman is an Assamese movie starring Yashpal Sharma in a prominent role. A gangster and a police inspector go against each other in a war for power and dominance. It is an action drama directed by Biswajeet Bora.
The film is set in a remote village of Assam,India. It revolves around Khagen, a farmer, whose wife dies is an incident. He struggles to carry the dead body in his bicycle back home from the hospital due to the unavailability of an ambulance. As he walks through the pebbled roads with the body and his young daughter,he comes across two reporters and as a result, their journey turns to a different battle altogether.
The film is about a lower primary school where the main struggle of the teachers is to keep the school alive as it has only one student, named Boomba. A time comes when things did not go as it was expected and while the school was on the verge of its collapse Boomba with his upright wisdom goes on to save his school making all of them realize that what education can do to a society.
