Detectives Jonas and Erik are called to the midnight sun country of northern Norway to investigate a recent homicide, but their plan to arrest the killer goes awry, and Jonas mistakenly shoots Erik. The suspect escapes, and a frightened Jonas pins Erik's death on the fugitive. Jonas continues to pursue the killer as he seeks to protect himself; however, his mounting guilt and the omnipresent sun plague him with an insomnia that affects his sanity.

About the demolition 2019

"About the demolition" is the first film of Antônio Freire's career. It questions the need of destruction in the urban space, wich is represented as "demolition". The physic space contrasts with the brightness of sky, trying to create a dialogue between the opposites. The film is also inspired by the Case Lontra Marques' poem.

A Curbside Love 2020

Footage amassed from a randomly chosen assortment of Chinese movie DVDs sold at a curbside stand on Grand Street near my old apartment was used to construct a three part reflection on the stages leading up to, and immediately following the end of, a romantic relationship: longing, loss, and acceptance respectively.
