After spending two years in prison, framed for accepting a bribe, former newspaper reporter Harry Barber is released, bitter and disillusioned. Feeling like he were owed something for his loss of time, he proceeds to get himself involved in a simple kidnapping plot which turns out to be more complex than he imagined.
Samantha Martin is injured during a mission and is forced to retire from the CIA. She discovers a mole within the CIA is working with terrorists to acquire chemical weapons set to be destroyed by the U.S. Government. Unable to contact the CIA, she forms a rag-tag group of fellow CIA cast-offs to stop the terrorists and uncover the rogue CIA agent.
A reporter stumbles upon the journal of a murderer with plans to butcher specific girls, and he begins to investigates on his own, and finding that every trail leads to a 9-year-old orphan living in a group home.
