When Emma’s troubled brother Oskar is forced out of his group home, she reluctantly takes him in—suddenly burdened with a responsibility she never asked for. He is tested professionally and mentally by the kitchen's harsh, uncompromising and eccentric head chef, but at the same time has towering expectations of himself. It creates a cavalcade of problems and lies over the course of an evening.
