Brooke Adams is the real-life Diane Dupuy, the Canadian woman whose vision and drive molded a group of developmentally-challenged young adults into the Famous People Players, a professional puppet troupe that has become world-renowned, having performed Radio City Music Hall and Las Vegas (Liberace's opening act in 1975) to the People's Republic of China.
Two confidence men pose as investors to fleece the denizens of a small town. They build a carpet-tack factory with the funds, but some stockholders are suspicious. Eventually, someone tries to take over the business by buying it from them. The film is presumed lost.
Three thugs assault a newlywed couple, raping and murdering the bride. The groom is accused of murder, but escapes from the police and hunts down the perpetrators. Filmed in Suriname.
