Barbara Rupik (born 1992) is an animated film director specializing in puppet and mixed media techniques. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and the Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz.
A dead body became stuck by a river bank. Its decaying insides still hide a human soul - a miniature of the deceased. Rotting organs part and a tiny creature gets out. Standing on the river bank, it says goodbye to the corpse and sets off on a journey through the post-mortem land.
To the surprise of the village residents, all of a sudden, the stone figure of Virgin Mary starts moving, leaves the chapel and begins to walk ahead. Soon, it is joined by other animated sculptures. Miracles do happen and they fascinate the most a little boneless girl.
